I’m bad at blogging. I just have absolutely nothing interesting to blog about, so I either end up forcing myself to type up a really boring update or I just … don’t post anything. I’ve been doing the last option lately.
I”m still running (in this hot AZ weather where it will be 90 degrees at 5 a.m. ugh). Usually I’ll do 7 miles, but some days it’s 5 miles and some days it’s 8 or 9 or more. Just depends on how I feel.
And the Camelbak I bought awhile back is awesome. I can’t imagine running without it now, especially in this heat. It’s so convenient to have that tube to take a sip of Gatorade from every few minutes. Lifesaver.
On the 2 or 3 days each week I don’t run, I’ve been trying to hit the elliptical, most times for an hour. So I feel like I’m getting a decent workout every day. I need to make myself do more stuff like lunges, squats, pushups, etc but I hate all of those things so I rarely do them.
I got my hair cut (FINALLY) the other day. I think it had been a year or more. I got 4 inches cut off and it’s still past my shoulders, so it had gotten pretty long.
All the pets are doing good. The dogs are obsessed with eating these bean pod things that fall off some trees here (Mequite Chilean/Chilean Mesquite…something like that). So basically our daily walks consist of me dragging them down the sidewalk while they try to eat every one that they see. When I get done I feel like I need a nap or a drink.

My name's Amanda. I'm 33 years old, am married to my best friend and love animals. I have two dogs - Ratchet and Clank - and two cats - Dr. Nefarious and Zoni. They are awesome. I dabble in freelance webdesign, and I'm also a runner, albeit a kind of slow one. Tom Glavine is my favorite athlete of all-time.
You are not bad at it! I always read, and enjoy! If you think dragging the dogs is bad, wait until you experience a pre-teen in Abocrombe!!!! That is pure torture! lol Keep the posts up, I look forward to reading them!
